He was so late. What about those cave men who are still burning in hell because he only showed up 4000 years ago.
God is great and has a reason for everything. I just can't think why he created a waste of space like you.
in all seriousness i am wondering, could you justify every action of your god? why are there starving, disabled and poverty stricken people. were all these people dumed from birth or is it a random kind of selection process?
am i horrible and evil for not having a religion or religious beliefs?
Well, buster gonad, our genes are older than Mr Roman's religion. He thinks his mythical invention created us, but if he is right and his God is so great perhaps we will be viewed as critical friends and only burn a little bit. Mr Roman's god is not the worst one, so if he's wrong he's gonna sit next to us right near the flames.
Your question. Why does God let people suffer?
My Answer. We, who have more then enough are suppose to help those in need. Its not God who lets them suffer, but us who don't keep them from suffering.
God gave us all enough to get buy, we just don't know how to share.
So if I lived in Ethiopia I might starve because of Christians and then burn in hell because I lost my faith?
no sorry sharing has nothing to do with it, god seems to work on a location bases. africa and parts of asia for instance o and you could chuck in south america maybe he is an out ragious racist.
Rmember Jerico. The walls came crashing down and god's instruction was to killl every man woman child and beast. Presumably the non-believers after being killed were then burned for all eternity.
Rocky Waters why don't you actually read the richard dawkins book your so in love with and form a coherent argument instead of god is bad blah blah blah superstission blah blah blah etc?
lol your coherent argument is?
o is this how you see god battle mast, that he is a bad and evil person for is very unhumane actions towards citizens of the world?
god doesn't do everything, ok, someone is disabled, that is just the way they are born, sometimes I think people put too much in god, who ever that may be to you and don't see that things just happen. god isn't perfect.
so you are saying that god is proan to making mistakes?
its prone, not proan. And then yet again we wonder why people are born disabled, why are there wars, why the United States and other countries have idiots as presidents? then this falls into a paradox and then we *blame* it on god, saying that "he wants it to be this way". Where is that written? what makes people "judge" what god wants or does not want?... i mean this stuff is in itself containing flaws already anyway and religions are so different among each other that.. its hard to believe that there is only "one' god, so among all of these.. which one to follow or not follow, waht to do or not to do, ETC...
I think some of you miss the point. gods or fairies don't exist. The other possibility is that he came late, he left misleading fossil evidence to fool us, he hates women and gays, he favours rich people and allows the poor to starve, he encourages race wars, he sees inside your head and will burn you for eternity, but he loves us. Or perhaps you invent your own versions of god and discard what you don't like in the bible and what you don't like on earth as being alegorical or unpleasant. Now you have a different sort of god altogether, one who didn't plant fossils, who didn't write the bible, who didn't destroy Jerico, who quite likes inter faith marriage, who disowns religious fundamentalists, a god who didn't tempt Adam, who didn't tell Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to test him, who didn't reward Lot for yielding up his daughters to be raped, a god who disowned the crusades, a god who does not anser prayers even if people are starving, a sort of laid back non-existent god who does not perform miracles and leaves no evidence. If Christians are willing to go this far in reinventing god then simply admit gods are invented, including the myths of Yahweh Zeus and Odin. Anyone still believe in god?
no i am hanging myself on a cross now!
God gave us a perfect world. Humanity messed it up, so suck it up, and stop trying to blame it on God. The reason people are disabled, or poor, or starving, is humanity. I'm sorry that some countries have plenty of natural resources, but because they consider all the cows and plants to be God, they won't kill and eat them. That's not God's fault. It's theirs. I'm sorry that people are born disabled because some incompetent doctor gave the mother some medicine that caused birth defects. Not God's fault. Blame the doctor. I'm blind because of my drug addict father...Again, not God's fault, so stop blaming God, and accept responsibility for humanity's mistakes, because it's both your fault, and mine that we don't do enough.
Have everyone forgotten about Um what some would call the Devil? Maybe everythignis his fault? It does say in Ravalations that He, the devil, aka, the dragon would have all free range to do what ever before, JESUS came back. Think about that, maybe it is his time and he is doing what he can to turn as many agenst God. Maybe it is His turn and he is doing all that is happening, Well makeing it happen how every your mind came come up with. Think on that.
Agreed, but not everything's the devil's fault, either. I think the order in 1 John of the world, the flesh, and the devil is correct when it comes to the sequence of whose fault it is. However, the Bible does predict everything that's going on right now perfectly.
to the person who asked if he/she is evil for not having religious beliefs, the answer is no. don't let anyone tell you differently.
god never came late!
he did, the dinosaurs where here first and the cave men. you try telling them god didn't come late.
perhaps you're right. But he did come before we were all doomed
so you don't think we were a big bang that eminated into earth? then god got lucky and given the post, or do you think the dinosaurs went through an aplication process as they were dying out? or maybe the batton is handed down cave man to cave man. which ever i dont' want to piss off a dinosaur, so that reason they were here first and god was late.
I don't believe in the big bang theory
To the erson who said the Bible justifies race wars and homophobia, thank you. One of my friends and I were having this discussion today, and he doesn't believe that Christians look down on interracial relationships, and I don't think he believs that they use the Bible to justify racism either.
Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with believein in God, but I think that humans corrupted some of the meanings in the Bible, took them out of context, used them to justify hatred and even death, etc. So it's not God's fault that people are like that, but it's also completely understandable why someone would not want to subject themselves to the fear and torment associated with religion. There's always this constant burden on your shoulders that says, "How will these people perceive me? Will God ever forgive me? If God loved everyone equally, why would he send people to burn forever?" And then you have the fact that Christians tend to make hypocrites out of themselves. They stand up there and preach at yu, telling you how to live your life, while at the same time the message they deliver is that there is only one way to do things right, and if you don't you're doomed to failure. Who wants to live like that?
When I was younger I used to go to church every Sunday, but then a couple things happened to me that made me avoid it. there is absolutely no excuse for what happened to me, and while I don't necessarily blame God, I do blame the person who took it upon herself to think she had the right to condemn me, to decide I was evil, and let's not forget I was only 8 years old. I'm not going to say what happened, but anyperson in their right mind would be dissuaded from religion after that. I find it disgusting how someone can say love your neighbor and then turn around and say it's OK to hate certain groups of people. It's a very narrow way of living, and I'm not going to subject myself to it again. But at the same time my own upbringing makes me wonder if I'm going to hell because I choose to reject it? Deep down I do still believe in God, it's ust human errors that turned me away from it, so I hope that doesn't make me a failure in God's eyes, if I'm not already for other things I've done.
this is again why religion can be so manipulative... and it can corrupt minds. Churches were made by men and even those are corrupt at times. This is ridiculous. Just now a lot of people would see examples of how religion distorts views and sometimes points fingers at people.
First let me say that I am in no way a scholar. I am nothing except an old sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I cant tell you why things happen on earth as they do except for the fact of what jesse said man messed up. Man fell in the garden of Eden.
Now a couple of interesting points as I see them. 1. If there is no God nor there isn't any Jesus Christ. Why do people call on him when danger or tragedy comes. 2. If you are so set that there isn't a God or a Jesus Christ why even waist the time to search out information on him. I guess that leaves the fact that maybe you are really searching for the truth of God and I will pray that you find the truth.
In closing let me ask this? HAVE YOU EVER TOOK THE TIME TO READ THE WHOLE BIBLE AND TRUELY READ WHAT IT SAID? OR DO YOU BASED YOU KNOWLEDGE ON WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID? I BELIEVE THAT IF A PERSON SEEKS THE LORD THROUGH HIS WORD HE WILL FIND THE TRUTH WITHIN HIMSELF/HERSELF.
Like I said, I have an issue with how people choose to interpret the Bible. If any other book, song, or any other form of text can be interpreted in a thousand ways, so can the Bible, and some ways can be used to hurt people. I'm not going to subject myself to a life of fear just because some people want to force their interpretation on me. that's all I'm saying.
religion is corupted in these days. tThe way I see it, is denominations should be thrown out. The christian faith should be one god one faith.
Having been a Christian for about five or six years, I have struggeld incredibly witht he concept of hell. For moral and other reasons, I am no longer what you call a Christian. Instead, I follow Jesus's teachings regarding not holding grudges etc.

However, i must warn you that many, if not all, of the contributors on that site are atheists. While I am not an atheist, I see severe problems with the way that God presents Himself in the Bible. Many Christians, myself included, have heavily relied on the New Testament for the pillars of doctrine. However, this form of thought ignores and/or largely attempts to either explain away or negate God's character as depicted in the Old Testament.
All right, sorry for the rant. I'm done.lol
